The Resistance Kestrel

It’s been four *very* long years!

I took this photo around the time the devastating results of the 2016 election rolled in. I loved the pose which I purposely anthropomorphized into a pose of “resistance” — a symbol I needed to carry, to survive the ensuing years and sustain the protests we waged.

So, here we are on the cusp of what I hope and pray is the beginning of the end of this national nightmare. And I thought it fitting to post the Resistance Kestrel again, in honor of every single ballot we cast and every battle we fought to change the course of our future … for ourselves and for the other species with whom we share this earth.
