This face is helping Coyote Hills Regional Park manage non-native plant numbers. The free-roaming flock grazes in late winter or early spring, helping remove the invasives while allowing native grasses to proliferate. According to the Coyote Hills website, the park has seen “a significant spread of native bunch grass since their first introduction some three years ago.”
So, here’s to this sweet face — framed in spring bloom, sky, and clouds.
It’s great to see that some government entities are turning the job of restoring habitats to the right “person”: Mother Nature. Nice pic, BTW!
