Dawn launched a new campaign that will contribute up to $500,000.00 to IBRRC (International Bird Rescue Research Center) and the Marine Mammal Center.

For each bottle of Dawn Special Edition dishwashing liquid sold, $1 will be donated to the cause (up to the 500k cap). You activate the donation online, using the code available on the bottle. The promotion runs through October 1, 2009 in the U.S. and through December 1 in Canada.

Dawn has long been used to wash oiled birds — for its ability to clean away the oil while being mild on the birds’ feathers and skin. IBRRC has used Dawn on oiled birds since 1971.
